India-made Grand Vitara exports
India has long been an export hub for Maruti Suzuki. The Grand Vitara, developed in conjunction with Toyota, is produced at the Toyota Kirloskar Motor facility at Bidadi in Karnataka. In fact, the compact SUV gets its strong-hybrid powertrain from Toyota and shares its underpinnings with the Toyota Hyryder.
That said, the Grand Vitara’s (and Hyryder’s) platform, mild-hybrid powertrain and numerous features and equipment (such as its nine-inch SmartPlay Pro infotainment screen) come from Maruti Suzuki.
