Innova Hycross will be sold alongside the current Innova Crysta.
Cabin gets a floating touchscreen like the Hyryder.
To come with petrol and strong-hybrid powertrain options, no diesel.
To pack premium features including driver-assistance tech, a first for a Toyota in India.
Likely to cost from around Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).
Another day and another spy shot of the upcoming Toyota Innova Hycross has surfaced online. Ahead of the MPV’s India debut on November 25, the spy shots reveal a few details about the new generation Innova’s interior. So, without any hold up, let’s take a look at what those are:
While this was confirmed by a leaked patent image previously, the panoramic sunroof can be seen on the MPV. The new revelation here is the fresh cabin layout which seems to follow an all-black theme for the dashboard. Another new feature is the floating infotainment screen, which could well be the same unit as the one in the Hyryder.
Previous teasers have given us a clue or two about the MPV’s front end styling and other design cues, which include the Fortuner-resembling LED headlights, split taillights with LED elements and the chunky rearbumper.
The features list of the MPV is expected to be well polished with premium equipment, including ventilated front seats, a heads-up display (HUD) and 360-degree camera. The Innova Hycross could also become the first Toyota offering in India to get ADAS technology, which would include safety features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist and forward-collision prevention.
For the new generation Innova, Toyota has ditched the diesel power unit in favour of a 2.0-litre petrol strong-hybrid power unit. The combined power output is expected to exceed 190PS, while a 170PS petrol-only powertrain will also be on offer. Transmission duties are expected to be carried out by automatic units for both powertrains.

The Innova Hycross will coexist with the current Innova Crysta and offer a more premium alternative to the Kia Carens and Mahindra Marazzo, while being an affordable proposition to the Kia Carnival. It is expected to be priced higher than the existing model, from around Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.
