The Maruti Suzuki Invicto is the first product where Maruti is selling a rebadged version of a Toyota car. And why not? The ‘Innova’ nameplate is very popular among the Indian audience, but along with that popularity comes a lengthy waiting period, which isn’t the case with its Maruti equivalent. If you are looking to bring home one of the premium MPVs, here’s a quick look at their waiting period in major cities of India.

• The waiting period for the Toyota Innova Hycross is considerably longer than that for the Maruti Suzuki Invicto in most major cities. 

• If you belong to cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai, then you have to wait for almost twice the time period for the Innova Hycross compared to the Invicto. 

• Customers from Pune city, though, have to wait for an almost similar time period to bring home either of the MPVs.

• And if you’re from New Delhi, you need to wait for a year for the Hycross before you can bring it home. 

Toyota offers the Innova Hycross in ten broad variants, offering two powertrain options: a non-hybrid petrol engine and a strong-hybrid powertrain. In contrast, Maruti offers the Invicto with a strong hybrid engine only and misses out on a couple of niceties the Hycross offers. Prices for the Maruti Suzuki Invicto start from Rs 24.82 lakh and go up to Rs 28.42 lakh (ex-showroom), while that of Toyota Innova Hycross is priced between Rs 18.92 lakh and Rs 30.68 lakh (ex-showroom). They are premium alternatives to cars like the Toyota Innova Crysta, Kia Carens, and Mahindra Marazzo.
