Ahead of the Toyota Innova Hycross MPV’s unveiling on November 25, select dealerships have begun with unofficial pre-bookings. We’ll get our first glimpse of the new people mover at its global unveiling in Indonesia on November 21, but we already know that it’ll be an all-new MPV with a slew of premium features.
The Innova Hycross is available to pre-book for a token amount of Rs 50,000 at select dealerships. You can register your interest online by sharing your details with a nearby dealership using the official website.Â
Innova Hycross: a brief overviewÂ
The Innova Hycross will be based on a new monocoque platform (its predecessors were body-on-frame), with a rugged, SUV-like aesthetic that seems to be inspired by the Fortuner.Â
It’ll offer a lot more equipment than the current Innova Crysta, with features such as a panoramic sunroof and, in a first for Toyota India, driver assistance and active safety tech (ADAS). Other features should include ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, larger infotainment screen and a heads-up display.Â
New strong-hybrid to be on offer
The Innova Hycross will get a 2-litre petrol engine as standard, optionally paired with a strong-hybrid system. The ICE-only variant should be good for around 170PS, while the strong hybrid is likely to be more powerful and efficient with a combined output of around 190PS. Â
We expect the Innova Hycross to be priced from around Rs 20 lakh, at a premium over the Innova Crysta that starts at Rs 17.68 lakh. However, its fully-loaded, strong-hybrid variant is likely to be much more expensive, rivalling the Kia Carnival with its price.Â
