You Can Bring Your Toyota Innova Hycross Home In January 2023

Toyota India has announced that deliveries of the Innova Hycross MPV are slated to commence in January 2023. Bookings for the new MPV are underway at Toyota dealerships and the marque’s website for a token amount of Rs 50,000. Prices of Toyota’s most premium Innova yet are expected to be announced at the 2023 Auto Expo. 

The Innova Hycross will be offered in a total of five trims and with the choice of seven- or eight-seater layouts. It will be offered with either a naturally aspirated petrol engine or a strong-hybrid powertrain option, the latter being limited to the higher variants. To make life easier for you, we have compiled a table displaying which variants get the above-mentioned powertrains. 

In terms of engine options, you have the choice of either a 174PS 2-litre naturally aspirated petrol or a 186PS 2-litre petrol strong-hybrid powertrain. Both engines come teamed to an automatic only, (with the non-hybrid getting a CVT, while the strong-hybrid gets an e-CVT), and the power is sent to the front wheels only. There is no diesel engine option on offer, but the hybrid powertrain, it is claimed, will deliver 21.1kmpl for those seeking fuel efficiency.

At an expected price range of Rs 20 lakh to Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom), the Innova Hycross will now lock horns with the Kia Carnival, while being a more premium option to the Kia Carens and Mahindra Marazzo. The Innova Crysta will continue to be sold alongside the new Hycross in the country.
