The Honda Elevate V is the entry-level trim for the SUV’s automatic transmission-equipped powertrain

UPDATE: Honda Cars India has launched the Elevate SUV from Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom).

It’s just a while before Honda Cars India announces prices of the Elevate on September 4. Pre-launch bookings are open and the model has arrived at dealerships. It will be offered in four broad trims: SV, V, VX and ZX. And if you’re someone aiming at a lower-end variant, this report is for you as we have sourced the Elevate’s one-above-base V variant’s pictures.

The Elevate V, from the front, looks similar to the top-end model with a large grille and LED headlamps. However, this trim misses out on fog lamps. In profile, it rolls on smaller 16-inch steel wheels with plastic covers and doesn’t get chrome door handles. At the rear, the Elevate V gets LED tail lamps, a feature that is standard across the range.

While the top-end variant of the Honda Elevate gets premium brown upholstery, lower-end trims make do with a black/beige hue as seen here. Also, it doesn’t get the semi-digital instrument display and in place of it are simple analogue dials with a small multi-info display nestled between them.

Niceties such as a leatherette upholstery, 10.25-inch touchscreen, sunroof, ADAS, and six airbags are all limited to higher-end variants.

The Elevate gets just the 121PS 1.5-litre petrol engine, teamed with either a 6-speed MT or a CVT. This is the entry-level trim for the auto ‘box. To know our driving impressions of the Honda Elevate, check out our in-depth first drive review.

We suspect prices of the Honda Elevate to start from around Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom). It will lock horns with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, VW Taigun, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and the upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross
