The entry-level model might miss out on creature comforts, but gets important safety kit such as six airbags and electronic stability control
Hyundai India has launched the 2024 Creta facelift from Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom). The compact SUV is available in seven broad trims: E, EX, S, S (O), SX, SX Tech, and SX (O). Until now, you must have seen the top-end variant of the model, but in this report, let’s take a closer look at what the entry-level E variant of the 2024 Creta facelift packs.
Design
The 2024 Creta E comes with the same square-shaped grille, but misses out on the dark chrome elements. You also get LED DRLs, albeit not connected, and the headlights are halogen projector units. Keen-eyed viewers will also notice that the turn indicators up front rely on cheaper halogen bulbs in these variants.
Being the entry-level model, the E variant rolls on 16-inch steel wheels with plastic covers. Chrome elements on the door handles have been skipped here and the turn indicators are placed on the front fender and not on the ORVM. At the rear, this variant comes with halogen tail lamps, but the centre bit is illuminated via a LED strip, dialling up the wow factor.
Interior And Features
Things are a bit sparse on the inside of the entry-level Creta facelift. For starters, you don’t get an infotainment system and have to rely on manual controls for the AC. Keen-eyed viewers will also notice that the gloss black plastic elements, a design touch limited to higher-end variants, have been omitted. That said, you get a digitised instrument cluster.

Engine Options
The entry-level Hyundai Creta can be had with either the 115PS 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol or the 116PS 1.5-litre diesel engine, both teamed with a six-speed manual transmission. If you want an automatic transmission or the more powerful 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, you would have to step up.
