The Maruti Suzuki Invicto is now on display across dealerships in India. It’s the most expensive Maruti Suzuki to go on sale with prices ranging from Rs 24.79 lakh to Rs 28.42 lakh (ex-showroom). The Invicto comes in two broad trims: Zeta+ and Alpha+. Until now, you have seen the images of the MPV in its top-spec trim. However, we exclusively bring you the first hand look of how the Invicto looks like in its entry-level Zeta+ trim in 10 images.
The fascia of the Invicto Zeta+ looks exactly the same as the top-spec trim with the large Grand Vitara-like grille and a chrome bar connecting the LED headlamps. It gets the same bumper design with sleek LED turn indicators.
Even in profile, at first glance, you won’t recognise that this is the entry-level trim as it gets the same 17-inch dual-tone alloy rims as the top model. However, keen eyed viewers will notice the lack of chrome on the door handles and around the window sills.
Moving to the rear, the Invicto’s Zeta+ trim looks exactly like the top-spec Alpha+ variant. So you get the three-element insignia LED tail lamps connected by a chrome strip. Overall, the base-spec variant still looks largely similar to the top-end trim, which is a good thing.
Even on the inside, there are no changes to the dashboard layout and design when compared to the top-spec trim. And you get the black upholstery with champagne inserts as well. However, one point to note is that it gets a smaller 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system instead of the larger 10-inch unit. This brings us to the features list.
Highlights of this specific trim include Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, cruise control, digital driver’s display, keyless entry with push button start and cruise control. Bits such as panoramic sunroof, leatherette upholstery, powered driver’s seat with memory function, powered tailgate, 360-degree camera and ventilated front seats are limited to the top-spec Alpha+ trim.
Passenger safety is taken care of by six airbags, electronic stability control, rear parking camera and an electronic parking brake with auto hold. A bizarre thing, though, is the fact that this trim misses out on parking sensors, both front and rear. It should have got the latter, considering the fact that the Invicto is a large MPV.
The Invicto’s Zeta+ trim is offered with a choice of either a 7-seater with captain seats (pictured here) or an 8-seater with bench seats for middle row occupants. Do note that this is the only trim available in the Invicto if you want an 8-seater as the Alpha+ is offered as a 7-seater only.
The Invicto gets just the 2-litre strong-hybrid powertrain dishing out a combined output of 186PS and 206Nm. It drives the front wheels via an e-CVT. Unlike the Hycross, there’s no entry-level 2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine on offer. So yes, the Invicto is available as a hybrid only model.
Prices of the Invicto’s Zeta+ trim range from Rs 24.79 lakh to Rs 24.84 lakh (ex-showroom). To check out how Maruti’s MPV looks in its top-spec guise, check out this image gallery. It directly goes up against the Toyota Innova Hycross, while being a premium alternative to the likes of the Kia Carens, Mahindra Marazzo and Toyota Innova Crysta.
