MG Motors celebrated its century mark with the launch of 100-Year Limited Edition for almost all its models, including the Hector. The Hector 100-Year Edition, based on the one-below-top Sharp Pro variant of the SUV, is offered with both the petrol and diesel engine options. If you are eyeing one, we explain what it offers in this report.
The MG Hector 100-Year Limited Edition is available exclusively in the ‘Evergreen’ hue. Up front, it features a large grille with dark chrome (standard car gets chrome) diamond-shaped inserts, providing contrast to the exterior shade. Its hood also includes blacked-out ‘Morris Garages’ badging to further enhance its appearance.
Moving on to the sides, the Hector 100-Year Limited Edition features blacked-out 18-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, ORVMs, along with blacked-out roof, adding to its aesthetic appeal. Other than that, it maintains the same profile as the standard Hector.

Coming on to the rear, the Hector 100-Year Limited Edition resembles the standard Hector, except for the addition of a ‘100’ badging on the tailgate. It also retains the same rear-end design, highlighted by LED taillights with vertically illuminated angled slats.
Stepping inside, the Hector 100-Year Limited Edition presents an all-black dashboard with contrasting silver accents that extend to the centre console. It boasts leather seat upholstery; however, to distinguish it from the standard Hector, it features ‘100-Year Edition’ badging on the headrests.
Additionally, it includes a 60:40 split for second-row seats and a panoramic sunroof.
Apart from the panoramic sunroof, the Hector 100-Year Limited Edition comes equipped with a 14-inch portrait-style infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, 7-inch digital driver’s display, 8-speaker Infinity sound system, powered and ventilated front-row seats, connected car technology, ambient lighting, and a wireless phone charger powered tailgate.
Safety features include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, front and rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system, and a 360-degree camera system. It misses out on the ADAS features which are present in top-spec Savvy Pro variant.
With the Hector 100-Year Limited Edition, you have the option to configure it with either the 143 PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol or the 170 PS 2-litre diesel engine. However, you can only opt for the CVT automatic transmission for the petrol engine and the 6-speed manual transmission for the diesel engine if you’re choosing this edition.
Prices for the MG Hector 100-Year Limited Edition start from Rs 21.20 lakh and go up to Rs 21.90 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the engine and transmission choice you pick. It is also offered in a 7-seater option, priced between Rs 21.93 lakh and Rs 22.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The Hector locks horns with the Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV700, and Hyundai Creta, while the Hector Plus rivals the Tata Safari and Hyundai Alcazar.
