The new Toyota Camry has just been launched and Toyota has now revealed its sportier looking Sprint Edition.. This special version features distinct styling elements, most of which are mainly dealership fitment and can be had separately. So, here is an in-depth picture gallery of the Camry special edition.
The Camry Sprint Edition boasts a dual-tone paint finish, featuring a black roof. Additionally, the lower part of the front and rear bumpers now get a black treatment.
Coming to the side profile, the 18-inch alloy wheels that come with the Camry are finished in all-black paint in this special edition. However, the special edition carries forward the chrome trim for the window.
Toyota has bestowed the Camry Sprint Edition with a little boot-lip spoiler at the back. As mentioned earlier, the lower part of the bumper features a black treatment with chrome stripe running across its width. Apart from that, the special edition version of the Camry remains the same as the standard model.
On the inside, the upmarket and modern cabin bears a dual-tone colour theme in brown and black paired with metal-finished elements. In fact, the Sprint Edition of the Camry is not any different than the regular Camry and features an identical theme, trim, and upholstery, including a stand out design element that mimics the design of a guitar fretboard.
There are no changes to the feature list as well, and it comes with dual 12.3-inch dual screens consisting of a touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital driver’s display. For rear seat passengers, there is a reclining function and a touchscreen integrated into the rear armrest, allowing users to control rear-zone AC and other seat adjustment related functions.
Other features include a wireless phone charger, a 10-inch heads-up display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 9-speaker JBL sound system, three-zone AC, a single-pane sunroof, and 10-way powered front seats with memory and lumbar functions.
In terms of safety, Toyota offers it with 9 airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control (ESC), hill start assist, and tyre pressure monitoring system (TMPS), and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
Powering the Camry Sprint Edition is the 2.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine that makes 187 PS and 221 Nm. This engine comes with a battery pack and a dual-motor setup which produces 136 PS and 208 Nm. Notably, the combined output of the hybrid system is rated at 230 PS, and hybrid powertrain also enables an EV-only driving range of several kilometres.
Toyota has not revealed the price of this special edition, however, since it is a dealership fitment, customers can get the prices of these individual accessories at the nearest Toyota showroom. As for the standard Camry, it is priced at Rs 48 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom), and is a direct rival to the Skoda Superb.
