Offered in five trims - E, S, S+/S(O), SX, and SX(O).
A Tucson-like grille, connected LED tail lamps, LED headlights and reworked bumpers, make up the design changes.
Cabin layout stays largely the same with a new black-ivory theme.
Feature upgrades include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digitised drivers display, four-way powered driver’s seat, and drive modes.
Retains its 1.2-litre petrol, 1.5-litre diesel and 1-litre turbo petrol engines and transmission combinations as before.
After a long period of breadcrumbs via spy images and design renders, Hyundai has given the Venue a midlife refresh in India. Prices start from Rs 7.53 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), and will be available in five trims: E, S, S+/S(O), SX, and SX(O).
So what’s new in the Venue? Starting with how it looks, there’s a fair bit new, with some inspiration from the facelifted Creta and Tucson via its new chrome front grille. The twin-headlights are a bit sharper, with new LED elements, the bumpers are reworked, you get new connected LED tail lamps, and a fresh set of 16-inch alloys. A new Phantom Black and a Fiery Red with Black Roof (Dual Tone) shade makes it seven paint options for the Venue.
Inside, things may not be as radically different as the exterior, but you do get a new black-ivory theme. Of course, there’s new kit onboard, which includes a four-way powered driver’s seat, a flat-bottom steering wheel, a digitised driver’s display like the i20, drive modes limited to the DCT option, a segment-first two-step recline function for the second-row seats as well as Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay with Alexa and Google voice assist. Bits such as the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, electric sunroof and automatic climate control are retained.
Things remain the same under the hood with the option of either a 120PS 1-litre turbo-petrol, 100PS 1.5-litre diesel, or a 83PS 1.2-litre petrol engine. The naturally aspirated 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel motors are paired with 5- and 6-speed manual gearboxes, while the 1-litre turbo petrol mill gets the 6-speed clutchless manual (iMT) and a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission to play with.
The facelifted Hyundai Venue rekindles its intense rivalry in the sub-4 metre SUV segment against the Nissan Magnite, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and the Renault Kiger.
