After a couple of teases in the last few days, Keeway has launched the K300 N supersport and K300 R naked motorcycles in India. This has happened just a few weeks after Keeway launched the V302C cruiser.
The K300 N is available in three colour variants: Matte White priced at Rs 2,65,000, Matte Red and a stealthy-looking Matte Black variant which retail at Rs 2,75,000 and Rs 2,85,000 respectively (ex-showroom India). The naked will go up against the likes of the Honda CB 300R, BMW G 310 R and KTM Duke 250.
The K300 R, too, gets three colour options: Glossy White at Rs 2,99,000, Glossy Red at Rs 3,10,000 and Glossy Black priced at Rs 3,20,000 (ex-showroom India). In the 300cc supersport segment, the K300 R will rival the likes of TVS Apache RR310, BMW G 310 RR, and Kawasaki Ninja 300.
Powering the Keeway K300 N and K300 R is a 292.4cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine producing 27.5PS and 25Nm. That said, the output figures are not all that impressive, especially compared to some of the rivals.
Both bikes come paired to a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.
The K300 N sports an absolute streetfighter design with aggressive styling and sharp body panels. However, it bears more than just an uncanny resemblance to the CFMoto 300NK.
With a fully faired front, the K300 R donns the supersport avatar. It even gets a high-rise fuel tank, edgy styling and a split LED headlight. Similar to its naked sibling, the K300 R, too, resembles the CFMoto 300SR.
The naked and supersport feature a USD fork and a monoshock suspension setup.
For braking, both bikes get a single 292mm disc up front with four-piston callipers and a 220mm disc at the rear with single-piston callipers.
For an extra net of safety, the bikes get dual channel ABS as standard.
The K300 N is really light, tipping the scales at 151Kg, making it the lightest in its class. The K300 R, on the other hand, is 14kg more, weighing at 165kg.
With a meagre ground clearance of 135mm on the K300 R, the supersport is bound to face challenges on Indian roads.
The K300 N and K300 R are the first naked and fully faired bikes by Keeway in India. And while they are priced on the premium side for a newly entered brand, Keeway has still pleasantly surprised us with a sub-Rs 3 lakh price tag.
