Ola Electric has finally launched its first-ever ‘Roadster’ electric bike range in India. This includes the ‘Roadster X’, which starts at Rs 74,999, the ‘Roadster’ which starts at Rs 1,04,999 and the range-topping ‘Roadster Pro’ which starts at Rs 1,99,999 (all prices introductory, ex-showroom). Bookings for all the variants are open.
The Ola Roadster X is available in three battery options: the 2.5kWh is priced at Rs 74,999, the 3.5kWh costs Rs 84,999 and the 4.5kWh is available with a price tag of Rs 99,999. Deliveries for the bike will start in January 2025. It competes with the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, Ather Rizta, Vida V1, Ola S1 X and the Ola S1 Air.
The Ola Roadster also has three battery options: the 3.5kWh variant costs Rs 1,04,999, the 4.5kWh is available for Rs 1,19,999 and the 6kWh is priced at Rs 1,39,999. The deliveries for the Roadster will also commence in January 2025. It goes up against the Revolt RV400, Tork Kratos R and Oben Rorr.
The top-of-the-line Ola Roadster Pro comes in two battery options: the 8kWh variant is priced at Rs 1,99,999 and the 16kWh variant costs Rs 2,49,999 (all prices introductory, ex-showroom). Its closest rival is the Ultraviolette F77. Deliveries for the top Roadster Pro will begin in the 2025 festive season (around October).
The new Ola Roadster range of electric bikes share a design language, but all three models differ in terms of battery capacity, specs, features and underpinnings as well. Each bike caters to a different segment.
The entry-level Ola Roadster X produces a peak power of 11kW (14,9PS). It comes with options of a 2.5kWh, a 3.4kWh and a 4.5kWh lithium-ion battery packs. The 4.5kWh variant claims a 200km range on a single charge. It accelerates from 0 to 40kmph in 2.8 seconds and claims a top speed of 124kmph.
The Roadster X comes equipped with a 4.3-inch LCD instrument console powered by Ola’s latest MoveOS 5 operating system that brings in features like turn-by-turn navigation, advanced regen, cruise control, DIY Mode, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) alerts and over-the-air updates and more. The bike also gets three ride modes (Sports, Normal, and Eco), a digital key unlock feature, Ola Electric app connectivity and an all-LED lighting setup.
The most affordable Ola electric bike gets a telescopic fork at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear. Braking is managed by a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear, with a combined braking system (CBS) as standard. It rides on 18-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres.
The Ola Roadster makes a peak power output of 13kW (17.6PS). It is available in 3.5 kWh, 4.5 kWh, and 6 kWh battery variants. The 6kWh variant can accelerate from 0 to 40kmph in 2.2 seconds and has a claimed top speed of 126kmph. It has a claimed range of 248km.

The Ola Roadster is equipped with an LED projector headlight with LED tail light and indicators. It features a MoveOS-powered 7-inch TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity. Along with all the features of the Roadster X, the console also includes features like proximity unlock, cruise control, party mode and tamper alert.
The bike also gets integrated AI-powered features such as ‘Krutrim Assistant’, a smartwatch app, road trip planner. It offers four riding modes: Hyper, Sports, Normal, and Eco.
Underpinnings include a telescopic fork and a monoshock at the rear. It gets disc brakes on both ends, with single-channel ABS (standard) and cornering ABS. The bike rides on diamond-cut alloy wheels.
The Ola Roadster Pro is the top variant and is the most powerful bike in the lineup. The Roadster Pro produces a peak output of 52kW (70.7PS) and 105Nm. It is available with two liquid-cooled battery pack options: 8kWh and 16kWh. The Roadster Pro 16kWh variant claims to go from 0 to 40kmph in just 1.2 seconds and 0 to 60kmph in 1.9 seconds. It claims to have a 194kmph top speed and delivers an IDC (Indian Driving Cycle) certified range of 579km.
The Roadster Pro features an LED projector headlight, LED tail light and LED indicators. It comes with a 10-inch TFT touchscreen console. The electric bike offers 4 riding modes including: (Hyper, Sport, Normal, and Eco).
The Ola electric bike will be packed with high-tech features including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), 3-level traction control, geofencing, timefencing, modefencing among many other features. It will also get features such as race mode, anti-wheelie, and anti-stoppie modes with MoveOS 6.
The Ola Roadster Pro gets an inverted fork and a monoshock. It is equipped with disc brakes on both ends with switchable dual-channel ABS as standard. It also gets ABS modes: (Race Urban, Rain and Off Road).
Ola has launched not one but three electric bikes catering to different segments. All three bikes are priced very aggressively as compared to their competitors and promise far better performance, range and advanced features as well. Ola also announced MoveOS 5 and there is also a hint of MoveOS 6 for the Roadster Pro, which makes it even more feature-loaded with better rider aids and connectivity features than any other bikes in the segment.
Additionally, Ola also announced its in-house developed 4680 lithium-ion cells, called the ‘Bharat Cell’, which will power the battery packs in Ola's electric bikes and scooters in the near future, helping keep the costs low.
