It looks like Mahindra isn’t letting any time waste after the XUV 3XO launch. This time around, it has introduced a new variant for the XUV700. Ladies and gentlemen, meet the XUV700 Blaze Edition, which is based on the top-end AX7 L variant, and gets a stunning matte red hue. It’s offered only as a 7-seater and with petrol and diesel engines, both with front-wheel drive options only.

Outside, the XUV700 Blaze Edition gets this rather lovely looking Matte Blaze Red hue that looks chic! Complementing its new hue are the contrasting black-coloured grille, alloys, ORVMs, badging and roof that gives it a sporty look. Lastly, there’s a ‘Blaze’ badge on the front doors to denote that you’re driving this matte red coloured XUV700.

Step inside the cabin and we bet you’ll love the tasteful detailing even more. The Blaze Edition gets an all-black dashboard with subtle gloss red inserts in the lower centre console and AC vent surrounds. Keen eyed viewers will also notice the presence of red stitching in the seats, soft touch trim on the dashboard and steering wheel, giving it a nice contrast.

Do note that the Blaze Edition can be had as a seven-seater only. If you want the six-seater variant, you’d have to consider the standard colour options only.

There’s no feature additions made to the XUV700 Blaze Edition. But we ain’t complaining as this is based on the top-end AX7 L variant, which gets all the bells and whistles such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and digital driver’s display, dual-zone climate control, a wireless phone charger, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats and a 12-speaker Sony sound system.

Passenger safety is taken care of by seven airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera and most importantly, ADAS. 

XUV700 Blaze Edition Engine Options

The XUV700 Blaze Edition is offered with the following powertrain options: a 200PS 2-litre turbo-petrol engine with a 6-speed torque converter or a 185PS 2.2-litre diesel engine teamed with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. All the powertrains drive the front wheels and the all-wheel drive option offered with the AX7L variant isn’t offered here.
