Hyundai India has launched the Creta and Alcazar Adventure Editions, with prices starting from Rs 15.17 lakh (ex-showroom). The Adventure Edition takes a similar pathway as Tata’s Camo Edition with its cosmetic updates. The Creta Adventure Edition is offered with just a petrol engine, while the Alcazar gets both the turbo-petrol and diesel options.
Here’s a look at the pricing:

The Exter’s Ranger Khaki green hue has been introduced in these models with this edition and all the chrome elements blacked out. The black theme extends to the ORVMs, and roof, giving it a mean look. And even the wheels are finished in… you guessed it… black, while the red brake calipers add a dash of sportiness. Lastly, there’s an ‘Adventure Edition’ badging on the fender denoting that this is a special edition.
If you don’t want the Adventure Edition in just this Ranger Khaki hue, fret not, as Hyundai is offering multiple colour options:

Step inside and you’ll find the cabin is finished in… once again… black! But to give it a dash of contrast, there are sage green inserts splashed on the AC vents and seat upholstery. The seat cushions and floor mats have Adventure branding on them as well. Both SUVs also get one crucial safety feature: dash cams at the front and rear.
Common features between the two include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a Bose sound system, cruise control and a wireless phone charger. And their safety kit consists of six airbags, electronic stability control, parking sensors, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
The Alcazar also gets a fully digital 10.25-inch driver’s display and a 360-degree camera.
The Creta Adventure Edition is offered with just the 115PS 1.5-litre petrol engine, teamed with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT. On the other hand, the Alcazar gets both the 160PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 116PS 1.5-litre diesel engine. A 6-speed manual is standard while automatic options include a 7-speed DCT with the turbo-petrol and 6-speed torque converter with the diesel.
Sadly, the Creta Adventure Edition misses out on a diesel engine.
The Hyundai Creta goes up against the Kia Seltos, VW Taigun, Maruti Grand Vitara, and upcoming Honda Elevate. The Alcazar, on the other hand, rivals the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Mahindra XUV700.
