Lexus has announced the launch of its flagship MPV, the ‘LM 350H’. The Lexus LM350H, priced from Rs 2cr (ex-showroom) is the Japanese carmaker’s fifth hybrid offering in India. It’s offered in two variants – 7-seater VIP and 4-seater Ultra Luxury. Both can be had with just one strong-hybrid powertrain.
Here’s a look at the variant-wise pricing:
Variant |
Price (ex-showroom) |
LM 350h 7-Seater VIP |
2 cr |
LM350h 4-Seater Ultra Luxury |
2.5 cr |
Design
Lexus’ flagship hybrid MPV gets a unique looking exterior that’s bound to turn heads. It gets the iconic Spindle grille that dominates the front and is flanked by a pair of sleek-looking LED headlights. The side profile is like a typical van, but the sharp crease that extends all the way to the tail lamps adds a dash of character as are the multi-spoke alloys. At the rear, it gets connected LED tail lights with the Lexus badging placed right above it.
Lexus gives you four colours to choose from: Graphite Black Glass Flake, Sonic Quartz (White), Sonic Agate(Red) and Sonic Titanium(Silver)
Cabin
The Lexus LM 350H’s cabin is the place where you would spend most of your time in and the highlight ought to be the rear seat experience in the top-end Ultra Luxury variant. Open the power sliding door and you’re welcomed by a theatre-like experience, thanks to the massive 48-inch ultrawide screen. To make it even better, you get lounge-like powered Ottoman seats that offer you massaging function, ventilation and heating. And to make sure you get the right acoustics, Lexus has employed a 23-speaker Mark and Levinson surround sound system. Overall, the rear seat experience is like a mini theatre on wheels.
And if you’re someone who prefers shotgun or driving, you won’t be left disappointed as well. You get a minimalist looking dashboard with a large floating touchscreen infotainment system with, thankfully, physical controls to operate certain features.
.
Powertrain
The Lexus LM 350 H gets a hybrid powertrain as the only engine configuration available on the luxury MPV. It is powered by a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine producing a combined output of 247PS. The setup is mated to a CVT gearbox paired with an all-wheel drive system.
Price
Lexus, which is Toyota’s premium car brand, has surely priced the car well for what it offers. The LM 350 H is for those chauffeur-driven buyers who don’t intend to drive and just enjoy a relaxed and luxurious carbon experience, it is a more luxurious alternative to the Toyota Vellfire, while you can consider it to other SUVs such as the Mercedes-Maybach GLS and the Land Rover Range Rover.
