Post the Innova Hycross’ launch, Toyota resurrected the extremely popular Innova Crysta diesel, which will be sold alongside the new generation MPV. Back then, the Japanese marque announced pricing only for the lower-end G and GX trims. Today, it has announced pricing of the higher-end variants of the diesel-powered MPV with more creature comforts.
Here’s the full variant-wise pricing of the Toyota Innova Crysta:

*Hybrid variants
The lower variants of the Innova Crysta are more expensive compared to the equivalent Hycross variants, which get a naturally aspirated petrol engine. However, when you pitch the newly introduced variants with the Hycross’ hybrid trims, then the Crysta is more affordable by up to a whopping Rs 3.65 lakh.
The Innova Crysta being offered in top-spec trim means it gets all the creature comforts, including an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a coloured multi-info display, powered driver’s seat, rear AC vents with ambient lighting and cruise control.
On the safety front, it gets six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking camera with sensor, electronic stability control and hill start assist. If you want niceties like a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats and ADAS for example in an Innova, then these are offered with the more premium Hycross.
the automobile community
The Innova Crysta is powered by a 150PS 2.4-litre diesel engine, driving the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission. If you want an automatic-powered Innova, then your choice is limited to the Hycross, which gets a choice of either a naturally aspirated petrol or a hybrid powertrain, both paired to a CVT.
The return of the Toyota Innova Crysta makes sense for those who have heavy usage thanks to the frugal diesel engine. And it’s also great to see Toyota offering a feature rich top-end trim, which isn’t the case for older models that are sold alongside newer generation cars.
The Innova Crysta is a more premium alternative to models such as the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Kia Carens and Mahindra Marazzo.
