This will be the first major overhaul for the Nexon and as we can discern from spy shots, there are plenty of new things onboard

The Tata Nexon will get its first major overhaul and the heavily revised model will go on sale on September 14, 2023. Thanks to the automotive paparazzi surrounding it, we now have a fair idea of what to expect from the 2023 Nexon facelift. So without further ado, here are 5 new major things the upcoming model will come packed with.

LED Headlamps And Connected Tail Lamps

This is a first for a Tata car. The 2023 Nexon will come packing LED headlamps as well as connected tail lamps. Both these elements give the model a more premium outlook. And to make it more upmarket, the Nexon has been seen with Audi-like dynamic turn indicators at the rear. You can take a closer look at the Nexon sans camouflage here

Fully Digital Driver’s Display

Spy shots have given an insight into the fully digital driver’s display that gives the cabin a more techy look. The Nexon will borrow a few design touches from the Curvv concept including the two-spoke steering wheel and touch-based climate controls.

The Nexon EV Max already gets the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This feature will make its presence felt in more variants including the higher-end ICE and probably, the EV Prime variants.

1.2-litre T-GDI Turbo-petrol Engine With DCT

Changes won’t be limited to cosmetics and features only. The Nexon is touted to get the carmaker’s 1.2-litre T-GDI turbo-petrol engine, probably teamed with a DCT. Its existing 1.5-litre diesel engine and electric powertrains should be carried forward as is.

Updated Safety Features

The Nexon’s safety features will get a big boost with the six airbags and 360-degree camera. Bits such as electronic stability control and tyre pressure monitoring should be carried forward from the current model.

With all these updates, the Nexon is expected to command a premium over the current model that is priced from Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue to rival the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Nissan Magnite and upcoming Mahindra XUV300 facelift.
