Diwali is just around the corner, and with it begins a series of festivals to celebrate until the year’s end. Car enthusiasts have an even more reason to rejoice, as this Diwali season has been lit up by plenty of special edition cars, some available only for a limited festive period. With distinctive looks, some added features, and exclusive accessory packages, each of these models brings something special in its new edition.
Here, we’ve compiled all the special edition cars launched since mid-September to mark the festivities. Take a look below:
Honda Cars India has jumped early into the festive season by launching an Apex Edition for the Elevate SUV. Based on the mid-spec V and VX variants, this special edition comes with a price premium of ₹15,000 over the standard model.
For the additional cost, buyers receive subtle cosmetic tweaks, including dual-tone Ivory and Black-themed upholstery with embossed seat covers and cushions, as well as ambient lighting to elevate the cabin atmosphere. However, there are no mechanical changes to the standard 1.5-litre petrol engine, which is paired with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT.
This edition is available for a limited time only. For more details on the specific updates and variant-wise pricing, be sure to check out the full article.
Renault has also seized the festive season by introducing a ‘Night and Day’ special edition across its entire lineup. The standout feature of this edition is the Pearl White dual-tone exterior with a Mystery Black roof available on all three models, while the Kiger and Triber also receive additional blacked-out design accents for a sportier appeal.
The Kiger and Triber models come with a premium of up to ₹20,000, though the Kwid carries the same price tag as the standard model. Renault has limited this special edition to just 1,600 units across all models. For those interested, you can find more details in this story.
Following their set trend by the Creta and Alcazar, Hyundai launched an Adventure Edition for the Venue. Released in time for the festive season, this new edition expands the Venue’s lineup rather than being a limited-run model. It comes with a price hike of up to ₹26,000 over the equivalent standard models and is available with both 1.2-litre naturally aspirated and 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine options.
The Venue Adventure debuts the new Ranger Khaki colour for the model, inspired by the Alcazar and Creta. Other styling enhancements include a blacked-out grille, front and rear skid plates, alloy wheels, and red brake callipers. Inside, the cabin receives a black theme with sage green inserts. Tata Motors has reintroduced the Camo edition for its popular Punch SUV, featuring the signature Seaweed Green dual-tone colour, now paired with a White roof instead of Black like in the previous model. Based on the Accomplished+ trim, the new Camo edition carries a premium of up to ₹15,000 and brings certain cosmetic touch-ups while leaving performance untouched. Check out real-life images of the Camo Punch here.
For those wanting a more aggressive look for the Tata Nexon EV — to say the least, a bold beast — the carmaker has made changes to the SUV, giving it an all-black look. Built on the top-spec Empowered+ long-range variant (with a 45 kWh battery), it costs ₹20,000 more than the standard model. Inside, a bold contrast is created with bright red upholstery, and as a bonus, this edition comes with a panoramic sunroof. Curious to see it? Take a look at the Nexon EV in real life here.
Maruti had also stepped up on the bandwagon of launching special editions for four of their models – the Wagon R, Swift, and Baleno hatchbacks, as well as the Grand Vitara SUV. Except for the Wagon R, the other three editions don’t come with any price hike, allowing you to save a good amount on accessories. The Wagon R Waltz, however, brings additional features like a 6.2-inch infotainment system and a rear-view camera as well.
Here’s how much each of the other three editions saves in your pocket:
Swift Blitz Edition: ₹49,848
Baleno Regal Edition: ₹60,200
Grand Vitara Dominion Edition: ₹52,699
It’s important to note that these editions are only available until this Diwali, so for more detailed information, you can check out our article.
MG Motor India has introduced the Hector Snowstorm Edition at ₹21.53 lakh, priced slightly above the standard Sharp Pro variant it’s based on. The new edition sports a white exterior with blacked-out elements and subtle red accents, giving it a distinctive look. A new theme follows in the cabin as well, though the performance remains unchanged. Check out showroom images of Hector in this story.
The MG Astor on the other hand, has received model-year updates to its existing Blackstorm edition. So we can’t really call it a new edition, however, you do get JBL speakers in this model to help you with your in-car music needs. Other changes include a new theme inside and out, and it’s based on the mid-spec variant of the standard Astor. For a closer look, you can read this article.
Toyota hasn’t fallen far behind Maruti as a top contender in launching festive editions this season. However, Toyota has decided to let go of the task of naming a new edition for every car. All models come with an official dealer-fitted accessory package and are based on specific trims.
Here’s up to how much you save on each car when choosing the limited Festive Edition:
Hyryder Limited Festive Edition: ₹50,817
Glanza Limited Edition: ₹20,567
Taisor Limited Festival Edition: ₹20,160
Rumion Festival Limited Edition: ₹20,608
While the Toyota Hyryder gains a dashcam in addition to its accessories, the Glanza, Taisor, and Rumion editions come without any feature upgrades and are limited to cosmetic additions only. You can explore the detailed packages on offer in this article.
Mahindra also joined the festive spirit with its classic Scorpio, introducing the Boss Edition that plays on the SUV’s iconic "big daddy" image. While this special edition primarily features a range of accessories—including rain visors, chrome appliques, and stylish black-themed upholstery with matching cushions and pillows—it also includes a rearview camera for added safety. The best part? These enhancements come at no extra cost.
Jeep also brought a special edition for the Compass mid-size SUV and called it the ‘Anniversary Edition’ to mark eight years of their operations in India. Based on the Longitude(O) variant, this new edition commands a premium of Rs 43,000 over the standard Longitude’s manual option.
It brings just a set of cosmetic updates that include a signature ‘Anniversary Edition’ design over the hood, a dash cam and ambient lighting in the interior, alongside the new red seat covers. You can take a more detailed look at the subtle changes in this article.
As we look ahead to more festivals till the Christmas season, we anticipate more special offerings from these and other automakers as well. For now, it’s worth noting that many of these limited-time editions will only be available until Diwali on October 31. If you’re considering a new family vehicle, this could be a good time.
