The festival season calls for gifts and dressing up in something new and the carmakers have taken note. With Diwali just around the corner, several cars have been introduced in special editions to add to the celebrations and give a boost to the manufacturer’s revenues. We've seen multiple models of Renault, Maruti Suzuki and Toyota join the party followed by an OG Mahindra Scorpio – all of which are available for a limited time only.
So if you were in the market for a new car under Rs 20 lakh, here’s a list of all the newly launched festive editions:
Renault India has launched a special 'Night and Day' edition for its models—Kwid, Kiger, and Triber. Based on the mid-spec variants of these cars, the editions feature cosmetic enhancements that add a sportier touch. All three cars under this edition sport a Pearl White body paired with a Mystery Black roof.
Here are the things new:
Kiger and Triber:
Blacked-out wheel covers
Black grille inserts
Black badging
Black ORVM (Outside Rear View Mirror) covers
Black tailgate garnish (Only in the Kiger)
While the Kwid maintains its price retaining a cool look along with the new colour, opting for the Kiger or Triber Night and Day editions will cost you an additional premium of up to ₹20,000. To check the variant-wise prices, head out to this story.
In addition to the current features, the Renault Kiger and Triber Night & Day Limited Editions are equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen that supports wireless smartphone replication, along with a rear-view camera. The Triber in this edition also comes with rear power windows for added convenience.
Maruti Suzuki has stepped up for the festive season by introducing four new special editions—three for its popular hatchbacks, the Wagon R, Swift, and Baleno, and one for the Grand Vitara SUV. Unlike Renault, Maruti has given a distinct name to each of the models along with a unique set of features, primarily accessories. Let's take a look to find what's on offer:

We’ve covered their prices in detail in this article, which you can refer to.
Toyota has followed suit with its festive offerings, although without unique names for each edition. They've introduced accessory packages worth up to Rs 50,817 for four models—the Hyryder, Taisor, Glanza, and Rumion.

Mahindra has also joined the fray, launching a new Boss Edition for the Scorpio Classic. This edition focuses on cosmetic enhancements, giving the rugged SUV a stealthier look. While the mechanicals remain unchanged, the interior has been given some updates as well, making this special edition worth considering. Prices remain unchanged starting from Rs 13.62 lakh (ex-showroom).
