2023 is here and now is the time for manufacturers to reveal their plans for what lays ahead. Korean carmaker Hyundai will be having an action-packed year with facelifts, new generation models and the introduction of an futuristic-looking electric vehicle. So without further ado, here are all the new Hyundais that are expected to be launched in 2023:
Hyundai India took the wraps off its futuristic Ioniq 5 electric vehicle on December 20. And come Auto Expo 2023, the Korean carmaker will be announcing the prices of its upcoming flagship for the Indian market. The Ioniq 5 will come in a fully loaded long-range variant and pre-launch bookings are underway. Find more details about the upcoming EV here.
The Grand i10 Nios has been on sale in India since 2019, while the Aura was introduced in early 2020. And since their launch, both models have been on sale without any major updates. However, both models will be receiving their first major updates this year in the form of a facelift. And these spy shots of the updated Grand i10 Nios give us a fair idea of what to expect in the upcoming model.

One of Hyundai’s best-selling models in India, the Creta, will receive a facelift this year to keep up with the times. Already on sale in international markets, the latest update brings its styling in-line with the more premium Tucson and also adds plenty of additional features, including ADAS. No major changes are expected to its engine lineup, though.
The next-generation Hyundai Verna has been hogging the spotlight recently. It’ll be larger than the model it replaces and the styling will be premium with plenty of elements from the next-generation Elantra available overseas. There are no spy shots of the interior yet, but the sedan will boast ADAS, which have been detailed in this report.
The current iteration of the Kona Electric has received a lukewarm response in the country. Very recently though, the Korean carmaker took the wraps off the next-generation Kona. It boasts the carmaker’s new styling theme which borrows touches from the Staria MPV and an upmarket cabin with influences from the Ioniq 5. We expect this model to be launched in the country as well to give the Kona nameplate a fresh lease of life.
These are all the new Hyundais that are expected to make inroads in the country in 2023. Which one are you waiting for? Let us know in the comments.
