Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai Motor India are going to bring their exciting new offerings at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. India’s largest automaker will introduce its first-ever electric vehicle (EV) in the market, while the South Korean brand will showcase its first mass-market EV based on the most sought-after compact SUV, the Creta. While there could be other cars at their pavilion, the e Vitara and Creta Electric will be the respective marque’s showstoppers at the Auto Expo 2025. Here is what you can expect.
Expected price - Rs 20 lakh
First showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo as the concept eVX, the production version of the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will make its debut at the forthcoming Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. We expect the India-spec model to be powered by two battery packs: a 49 kWh and a 61 kWh paired with single- and dual-motor motor setups.
The power output of the single motor ranges from 144 PS and 189 Nm to 174 PS and 189 Nm, while the dual-motor setup generates 184 PS and 300 Nm. Although the official range figures are not out yet, we expect the e Vitara to deliver a range of about 500 km.
Key highlights of the Maruti e Vitara include a dual-screen setup, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a 36-degree camera, connected car tech, 6 airbags, electronic stability programme (ESP), an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, and ADAS.
Expected price - Rs 17 lakh
The Creta Electric will make its first public appearance at the forthcoming Auto Expo 2025 in New Delhi. The MG ZS EV and Maruti e Vitara rival from Hyundai will be offered in two battery pack options: 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh, with an ARAI range of up to 390 km and 473 km, respectively. It will be available in a single motor version with distinct power outputs: 135 PS and 171 PS.
The upcoming Creta Electric will support DC fast charging, enabling the long-range battery pack to recharge from 10 to 80 percent in 58 minutes. It will also be compatible with AC fast charging of up to 11 kW.
Key features of the Creta Electric include a digital key, vehicle-to-load (V2L), electric boss mode, powered driver’s seat with memory settings, rear window sunblinds, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, rear-seat foldable tables, dual-zone AC, in-car payment, dual-screen setup (10.25-inch unit each), 6 airbags, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, and Level 2 ADAS.
Apart from that, both carmakers are likely to showcase their current lineup and some new models from the global portfolio. Are you excited about the two confirmed debuts from Hyundai and Maruti? Tell us in the comments.
