The Italian bikemaker seems to be packing heavy artillery for the ADV market

During its World Premiere series, Ducati pulled the wraps off multiple models it’s set to offer in 2022. Of all, here are the bikes we expect the Bologna bikemaker to launch in India.

Ducati Multistrada V2

The Multistrada lineup is renowned in India and globally, thanks to its touring and overall off-roading credentials. Heading into 2022, Ducati has unveiled the Multistrada V2, which at its core is the same model as the current one, but with a few tweaks and a new badge. While the Multi V2 uses the same 937cc L-twin motor as the Multistrada 950, it’s claimed to be lighter and features an updated gearbox and clutch. Know about the Multistrada V2 in detail. Expect Ducati to launch it in India in the first quarter of 2022.

Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak

The standard Ducati Multistrada V4 is mind-boggling in itself, and then Ducati also unveiled the Pikes Peak version of it, even though motorcycles are no longer a part of the Pikes Peak race. Apart from the dedicated race livery, the Ducati Pikes Peak Multistrada V4 packs lots of new goodies, from Marchesini’s forged aluminium wheels to a new Akrapovic exhaust with a titanium carbon blend end-can. Read this to know more about the Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak. We think Ducati will bring it to India sometime around June 2022.

Ending the World Ducati Premiere series was the Bologna bikemaker’s wild child, the DesertX. Inspired by the Paris Dakar bike from the 1980s, the DesertX features a rather interesting bodywork and quirky features. You get a dual circular LED projector headlight with LED DRLs, a vertical (rally-style) instrument cluster and even an 8-litre auxiliary fuel tank. The DesertX houses the same 937cc Testastretta V-twin engine as the Multistrada V2, but with a different state of tune.

Ducati claims it dishes out 110PS at 9250rpm and 92Nm at 6500rpm. It’s nestled in an all-new trellis frame suspended on a fully adjustable 46mm Kayaba fork and monoshock offering 230mm and 220mm of travel, respectively. The DesertX also packs a truckload of features, and you can head here to check them out.

Ducati will first launch it in America and Europe sometime by mid 2022 and later in India at an expected price tag of Rs 16 lakh, ex-showroom.
