Jehan Daruvala’s tough weekend at the Red Bull Ring continued, as the Prema Racing driver finished where he started in 11th in the sprint race. His teammate Dennis Hauger managed to make up some ground to finish in ninth position.
Starting 11th on the grid, a chaotic opening lap saw the Indian driver lose a few places, but had managed to make his way back up to 11th position. Unfortunately, that was where the Indian driver’s progress came to a halt as a DRS train of cars up ahead meant making an overtake was next to impossible. In the end, Daruvala had to settle for 11th position at the chequered flag.
While this finishing position ends a difficult first half of the weekend, Daruvala still has another chance to make up ground in the 40-lap/172km feature race, starting in the same position.
The feature race will commence on Sunday, 1:30pm (IST). All races will be broadcast on Star Sports.
