It is one of the very rare Series Nine Lambdas' (one of only 500 units made) and was bought by him from its previous owner the Maharaja of Dunraon some five years ago.
What marked the second edition of the Cartier Travel with Style Concours was the fact that it was not just about British metal but there were also a smattering of cars from other grand European marques. One of the most elegant and also significant of these cars was this stunning Lancia Lambda of Mumbai-based classic car enthusiast and collector Hormusji Cama. It is one of the very rare Series Nine Lambdas’ (one of only 500 units made) and was bought by him from its previous owner the Maharaja of Dunraon some five years ago.
The royal family of Dumraon owned this car (chassis no. 13131) from new and used it as their favoured mode of transport. Cama has restored this car appreciably but it is still work in progress but knowing him one is sure this Lambda would be a stunning example befitting the fact that it was the world’s first all moncoque series production car and also the first with an ultra-narrow vee-four motor.
