This particular MX series Bentley, bearing chassis no. B64MR, came with a four-speed gearbox featuring overdrive on its top cog. Not surprisingly, this car bagged top honours in the Classics' category.

Many of the big name coach builders of their time produced stunning bodywork on the MX chassis which came with a large 4257cc inline six-cylinder engine fed with twin SU carbs. This pretty roadster from 1938 was ordered by the Maharaja of Darbhanga and it came with a swoopy body by Vanden Plas.

This handsome convertible looked magnificent replete with its rear wheel spats and motored just as well, its exhaust purring away when on the move.
