Harley-Davidson launched its latest offering for the Indian two-wheeler market, the Street 750 at the 12th edition of the Auto Expo. The Street 750 has been priced at a mouth watering Rs 4.1lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Thus, making it the most affordable Harley offering in our country. The American two-wheeler manufacturer has been able to price the Street 750 so competitively because it will be the first Harley-Davidson to be manufactured in our country at its plant in Bawal, Haryana. The new offering is the first new Harley to be developed in the past 13 years and according to company officials it was developed with feedback from over 3,000 people across the globe. Powering the motorcycle is an all-new, 749cc, liquid-cooled, V-twin engine producing 65Nm @ 4,000rpm.

The Revolution X engine has been developed from the ground-up and it will be mated to a six-speed transmission. Harley hasn’t revealed the power figure of the bike but it is expected to be around 55-65PS. The Street 750 is also the lightest Harley and weighs 218kg and boasts the highest ground clearance at 144mm. Also, it will be the first Harley bike to be manufactured in India and exported to international markets. The Street 750 will be pitched against the Triumph Bonneville, Hyosung ST7 in our two-wheeler market but given its killer pricing and the cult following the brand has, Harley-Davidson have a winner in their hands.
