Nissan unveiled the face lifted Sunny at the 12th edition of the Auto Expo with changes made to the car’s exterior and interior. The Sunny made its debut in the Indian market in 2011 and has been among the highest selling model in Nissan’s India portfolio. As part of the visual update, the new Sunny features a fresh new front with a bigger and bolder grill. The new offering also sports boomerang-shaped headlamps, which is a signature design feature for the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer. The bumpers have also been restyled with chrome detailing on the fog lamp housing. Also the face lifted Sunny has been equipped with mirror-mounted turn signals and the alloy wheel design has been changed to Y-spoke.

Changes have been made to the interior to make it look for sporty and the steering wheel has been wrapped in leather with aluminium finished inserts, with provision for audio control on it. The centre console has been finished in piano black to make it look premium. The new Sunny has been loaded with features like rear parking camera, Bluetooth connectivity and the music system features AUX and USB port. No changes have been made to the car’s engine and all the updates are only cosmetic and it will be available with the same petrol and diesel engine option. Pricing of the new car weren’t announced at the event and it is expected that Nissan will soon launch the face lifted in the Indian four-wheeler market with marginal hike in prices. The Nissan Friend Me concept car also was showcased for the first time in our country at the new Sunny unveiling.
