Nissan Evalia production halts in India

It’s raining facelifts this season, and Nissan is the latest to join this bandwagon. The Japanese company has officially introduced the 2014 Nissan Evalia MPV in India. However, Nissan will be officially launching the Evalia facelift on the 1st of August.
The new model receives a few styling upgrades and improved interiors. Cosmetic changes on the 2014 Nissan Evalia include a bold new face with a chunky chrome grille and brand new bumper. There is a re-styled rear bumper too, new chrome highlights the bootlid and smart 10-spoke alloy wheels. On the inside, the upgrades include use of some new fabrics and materials and higher trims get faux-wood accents around the center console. After customer feedback, Nissan has now included a much needed lid for the glovebox.
Like the outgoing model the 2014 Nissan Evalia will be powered by a 1.5-litre K9K diesel motor which produces 86PS of power and 200NM torque, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, and with a claimed fuel-economy of 19.3 kmpl.
The upgraded Nissan Evalia is being offered in six variants. The base version 2014 Nissan Evalia XE is priced at Rs 8.49 lakh and comes with ABS, EBD and BA safety features. It also gets a basic multi-functional display, central locking, immobilizer, 60:40 split foldable second row and 50:50 split foldable third row seats.
The 2014 Nissan Evalia XE+ has a price tag of Rs 8.99 lakh and has additional features like an audio system with front and rear speakers, and dual front airbags.
At Rs 9.77 lakh the 2014 Nissan Evalia XL also offer roof air ondition vents for rear passengers, keyless entry, a better 2 Din audio system and front power windows.
A rung above is the 2014 Nissan Evalia XL(O) which costs Rs 10.02 lakh and apart from the above mentioned features, comes equipped with second row captain seats with armrest.
The 2014 Nissan Evalia XV variant is priced at Rs 10.43 lakh and has more features like iKey with keyless entry, 15-inch alloy wheels, colored multifunction display with rear camera, and rear wiper and defogger.
The top-of-the-line 2014 Nissan Evalia XV(O) comes for Rs 10.67 lakh and is loaded to the brim with additional features like wooden finish centre console, the new chrome grille and chrome strip on the bootlid (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).
