A spy shot of the latest Honda CBR150R has surfaced and the 2015 Honda CBR 150R seems to be a sportier incarnation of the current model on sale in India.
The spy shot taken by Indonesian enthusiasts seems to indicate that on the styling front, the new CBR 150R has borrowed a lot of styling cues from the upgraded Honda CBR 250R.
On the technical front, the engine remains the same – with the 149.4cc DOHC 4-valve 6-speed engine doing service on the 2015 model as well. It generates 18PS of power and 12.66Nm of torque, with a top speed rated at 134kmph.
There are some minor tweaks in design though – the full fairing seems to have been borrowed from the CBR 300R and the bike now runs a twin headlamp setup. The footpeg design has been changed as well from the current steel pipe setup and the exhaust design is all new as well.
The Repsol version featured in this photograph will almost certainly cost a little more than the standard CBR 150R. We expect the bike to be launched in India sometime in mid-2015. Expect hot competition in the entry level sportbike segment then, with an upgraded Yamaha R15 expected around the same time as well as the much awaited Pulsar 200SS.
