Skoda has given us a glimpse of what its upcoming car – the third-generation Fabia would look like. The car is set to make its first public debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show scheduled to take place in October. The five-door hatchback will flaunt a sharper design and will carry a similar design language as seen on the new Skoda Rapid and Skoda Octavia.
The rendered image shows the 2015 Skoda Fabia adopting a bolder design language and appears to be more aerodynamic than before. The 2015 Fabia gets a flat roofline and large alloy wheels. The new model is expected to be a little bit wider and lower with a slightly longer wheelbase over the outgoing Fabia to help with interior space.
The new 2015 Skoda Fabia will be based on a revised PQ25 platform instead of Volkswagen’s MQB platform. This is a conscious decision taken by the Czech carmaker to keep the price of its new car in control. The engines and transmission units will be carried over from the new Volkswagen Polo.
Skoda is expected to officially unveil its new car in its home country before it is uncurtained at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. The new car is expected to go on sale soon after.
