Set to make its official debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, the 2015 Skoda Fabia has been teased once again. The Czech carmaker has released a new teaser image of the 2015 Fabia, which is set to enter production from the end of this month at Skoda’s manufacturing facility at Mlada Boleslav near Prague.
The teaser image shows the car flaunting an angular front bumper with stylish headlamps, which sit above a thin strip of LED daytime running lights. Also visible is the grille of the 2015 Fabia, which connects to the headlamps and features vertical slats and gloss black lining.
The new 2015 Skoda Fabia will be based on a revised PQ25 platform instead of Volkswagen’s MQB platform. This is a conscious decision taken by the Czech carmaker to keep the price of its new car in control. The engines and transmission units will be carried over from the new Volkswagen Polo.
Preparations for production start-up have already begun at the carmaker’s headquarters during the factory’s holiday downtime between August 4 –15. During this downtime the paint shop is being expanded and modernised, while the final zone of the assembly line is also being modified.
