With the launch date of the 2015 Volkswagen Jetta facelift around the corner; Volkswagen dealers have begun accepting the bookings of this upcoming car. The new 2015 Jetta can be booked at an amount of Rs 1.5 lakh with deliveries for the diesel variant expected to commence within 30 days of the launch, while that of the petrol variant will begin in April.
The refreshed Jetta will receive a new three-slat grille, the one seen on its elder sibling Passat, bi-xenon headlamps and Daytime Running Lamps and a redesigned bumper with a larger air dam. On the rear end, the new Jetta will sport a remoulded bumper and LED taillamps.
Inside, the new car will feature an upgraded centre console with a touchscreen infotainment system which is complimented by piano black surrounds. Like the other Volkswagen models, this one, too, will get the flat-bottomed three-spoke steering wheel.
While all the changes on the 2015 Jetta are cosmetic, the engine options will continue to remain the same. It will be offered in both petrol and diesel engine options – a 1.4-litre TSI petrol mill and 2.0-litre TDI.
The 2015 Volkswagen Jetta is expected to be priced between Rs 14-19 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched the 2015 Jetta will lock horns with the likes of Skoda Octavia and Hyundai Elantra.
