2015 ZigWheels Awards: Bike Manufacturer of the Year DSK-Benelli

DSK-Motowheels have had an interesting journey in our two-wheeler space. They introduced iconic Italian bikemaker in the Indian market last year. What made the DSK-Benelli range so different from others was its sheer variety of products with which it commenced its journey in our market. It had five new motorcycles on sale in India when it started operations. This included the Benelli TNT 300, TNT 600i, TNT 600GT, TNT899 and the TNT1130R.

From entry-level streetbike to adventure tourers to performance naked bike, the Benelli family has had a distinct range of products on offer. Also another point noticeable about DSK-Benelli is the pace of dealer expansion which has been very good for motorcycles at this price point. Also, they have been constantly adding products in the form of the TNT25 and the soon to be launched Trek Amazonas followed by the Tornado 300, Trek 502, BX 250 and the TNT naked T-135 that were unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo. 

So when the jury sat down to narrow down the winner for the manufacturer year bikes award, DSK-Benelli was always a strongest contender and though it faced stiff competition from its rivals. In the end DSK-Benelli  emerged victorious for its focus on the Indian market, variety of products and its sheer expansion of products and dealerships while being among the youngest bikemakers in the Indian two-wheeler space. Hence, DSK-Benelli was chosen as the manufacturer of the year bikes at the 2015 Times Auto awards powered by ZigWheels.
