General Motors has premiered a brand new compact sedan, the Chevrolet Essentia in India and the car will make its way to India in 2017. The new Chevrolet Essentia will take the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, the Honda Amaze, the Ford Figo Aspire, the Honda Amaze, the Hyundai Xcent and the Volkswagen Ameo and will be placed in the sub 4-meter compact sedan segment.
On the exterior front, the new Chevrolet Essentia is quite a handsome looking sedan with a typically Chevrolet front snout with a split front grille and a prominent logo. The front looks a lot like the Beat hatchback as the car will be based on the same platform that the Beat is on and will also feature many styling features both on the exterior and on the interior. The new Chevrolet Essentia at the rear looks quite handsome too with a seamlessly integrated boot and large-ish tail lamps.
On the interior front, the new Chevrolet Essentia will feature a neat looking dashboard with a prominent central screen for infotainment purposes. The sears are quite comfortable although there is a slightly lack of seating space on the rear seats, the boot is quite large and spacious. The new Chevrolet Essentia is an India specific car that will get to the market early next year and will replace the Chevrolet Sail sedan in India which could in turn boost Chevrolet’s slumping sales in recent time.
