In an interesting turn of events, Fiat Chrysler India brought back the old generation Punto hatchback, but along with that the Italian car manufacturer also displayed a more powerful variant of the existing Fiat Linea sedan. The new version is christened as the Fiat Linea 125s, which hints at the hiked power figure of the sedan.
The Fiat Linea 125s comes powered by the same 1.4-litre T-Jet petrol engine but in the new avatar churns out 125PS which is an extra 13PS from the existing model. The car maker hasn’t stopped there but also added some new features to the new Fiat Linea 125S sedan variant like a touchscreen, Bluetooth equipped music system, cruise control and ambient lighting. Safety features include front airbags as standard.
There are plenty of equipment added to this list to help the driver too, such as rain sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, rear parking sensors and integrated indicators on outer rear view mirror. The new Fiat Linea 125S was only unveiled today at the 2016 Auto Expo, and an official launch will take place later this year. The existing car is priced at Rs 9.76 lakh (ex-showroom) and the new Fiat Linea 125s will demand a slight premium than the current model.
