The 2016 Bangkok Motorshow is underway and during the event, Harley-Davidson chose to unveil a new custom motorcycle called the 750 Stealth. It is a one-off custom motorcycle built and designed by Richy Wilson who also happens to be the co-owner and dealer principal of the Harley-Davidson dealership in Bangkok.
Aesthetically, it is radically different from the Street 750 it is based on. It features Ohlins MotoCross front forks mounted on 21-inch wheels, the tank has been completely redesigned and is now a hand-crafted unit along with aluminium fenders. The rear shocks have been swapped for a monoshock and the tyres used are Dunlop motocross tyres adorning both the 21-inch front spoked wheel and the 18-inch rear wheel. It also featured twin LED Daymaker headlamps, a hand-crafted aluminium swingarm and also custom dual exhausts. It is still powered by the same 750cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine which powers the standard motorcycle and no changes have been made to the engine. However, despite all the changes and off-roading kit you can see the most affordable Harley peeking from beneath the bodywork. The wheelbase seems to have been left untouched resulting in a bike that could be too long to take off the road. In addition, the footpeg positioning has been left as it was with the difference that it now sports motocross pegs. A riding position that was never very comfortable to begin with.
But all of that is speculation and we can only know if it has worked only when we ride it, if ever.
