Renault Duster Adventure Edition

Renault India had launched the facelifted Duster earlier at the 2016 Indian Auto Expo and now, the French automaker has introduced the Adventure Edition of the facelifted version. The car will now be priced at Rs 9.64 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It will be available in both the diesel variants -- the 1.5-litre dCi mill that will produce 85PS and 110PS, respectively. The diesel engine that will be producing 110PS of power will only be available with the all-wheel drive (AWD) system. However, the six-speed manual and the automated manual transmission (AMT) variants of the 110PS diesel motor are not offered with it.

On the outside, the Adventure Edition come with chrome appliques and glossy black finish on the grille and the licence applique. It also features all-around body cladding along with fog lamps, a compass decal on the D-pillar along with ‘Adventure’ branding and mustard yellow-coloured front faux skid plate and roof rails. There are two new colours that the special edition Duster is offered with – Outback Bronze and Slate Grey.

On the inside, the car gets upholstery in denim (which also have zips), new black door fabric inserts, leather-wrapped steering wheel, mustard yellow highlights on air vents and central instrument cluster, and “Adventure” branding on the steering wheel and floor mats. Steering-mounted audio controls is standard across the Adventure Edition range and the 85PS RXL variant comes with a touchscreen infotainment system but without navigation, while the 110PS variant (featuring AWD) gets an inbuilt navigation system.

Apart from all the features that Renault has to offer with the Adventure Editions, there is one more feature that the company has to offer -- Renault’s new optional app called SmartDrive, which will feed live data to your smartphone via a Bluetooth dongle, allowing the driver to record the fastest 0 to 60kmph time, overspeeding warnings if the driver is crossing the limits, and many more such alerts.

Lastly, speaking of the pricing, the Adventure Edition Dusters will be around 10k costlier than their corresponding variants i.e.

The Adventure Edition RXE 85PS at Rs 9.64 lakh.

The Adventure Edition RXL 85PS at Rs 10.45 lakh.

The Adventure Edition RXZ AWD 110PS at Rs 13.77 lakh.
