A sketch potentially revealing the look of the 2016 Skoda Superb has surfaced online. Skoda had earlier stated that the new model will feature more striking styling, and this rendering definitely seems to head that way.
The authenticity of this image cannot be confirmed. However, this new teaser sketch hints at a large four-door coupe inspired by the Skoda Vision C concept which was showcased by the Czech carmaker at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
The car features a traditional front grille which is accentuated by aggressive bonnet lines. The headlights are slimmer and swept-back and resemble the one seen on some of Skoda’s latest concepts. The sketch also reveals a sloping roofline which gives the model an appearance of a four-door coupe.
The 2016 Skoda Superb is expected to use Volkswagen’s MQB platform. Although, powertrain details for this car have not been formally announced, it is expected to be more advanced than the Skoda Octavia. The 2016 Skoda Superb is expected to share much of its components with the Volkswagen Passat.
This next-gen Skoda Superb is expected to debut before the end of 2015.
