CEAT has launched a new range of tyres under the badge Zoom Rad X1, at the 2017 India Bike Week. The unveiling of these tyres was done by motorcycle racing legend and multiple time Grand Prix champion, Freddie Spencer. According to the company, the Zoom Rad X1 tyres come with an H-speed rating which means they’re designed to work speeds of up to 210kmph! The tyres will be targeted towards bikes in the 200cc to 400cc segment.
CEAT says that these radial construction tyres are made from soft compound rubber, which should provide high grip levels and enhance a motorcycle’s cornering abilities. The company also added that these tyres will be more suitable for bikes like the KTM Duke series, KTM RC series, Bajaj Dominar and the Yamaha R15. They are available in three sizes - 130/70 R17, 110/70 R17 and 150/60 R17.
Commenting on the launch, Nitish Bajaj, Vice President, Marketing, CEAT Limited, said, “We are very glad to launch our premium motorcycle radial tyres, Zoom Rad X1 at one of Asia’s biggest biker events – India Bike Week 2017. We have designed the Zoom Rad X1 tyres considering emerging customer trend leaning towards owning stylish, sportier and desirable premium motorcycles. As per industry experts, the luxury motorcycle market is expected to grow by 20 per cent CAGR in the next ten years. We plan to further fortify our offerings in the premium segment with more product launches in the future.”
CEAT is also planning to organise an experimental Enduro track session to demonstrate the product's grip capabilities.
