Kawasaki India’ launch spree doesn't seem to end anytime soon. Kawasaki has sent us an invite mentioning that it will be launching two new motorcycles in India. The Japanese two-wheeler giant will ride in the 2017 version of the Kawasaki Z1000 and Kawasaki Z250 in our two-wheeler space. The Kawasaki Z250 is the most affordable bike from the two-wheeler manufacturer for the Indian market while the Kawasaki Z1000 is its flagship streetbike. The Kawasaki Z1000 was recently updated to meet the stringent Euro 4 emission norms. Kawasaki have made the engine cleaner without any drop in its power output something that is noteworthy. The 1,043cc displacement in-line four engine produces 114PS at 10,000rpm and 111Nm of peak torque arrives at 7,300rpm. The motor is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and it also features slipper clutch. Suspension duties are handled by USD forks at front and a horizontal monoshock unit at the back. Disc brakes provide anchorage at both ends while ABS is standard. The Kawasaki Z1000 rivals the likes of BMW S 1000R, Ducati Monster 1200, Suzuki GSX-S1000R, Triumph Speed Triple and the Aprilia Tuono V4 1100.

With its swashbuckling styling, premium engineering and build quality, the Kawasaki Z250 does stand out in comparison to its rivals. It is powered by a 249cc; liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine developing max power of 32PS at 11,000rpm and peak torque of 21Nm at 10,000rpm. The new engine is Euro 4 emission norm compliant. Power is transmitted to the rear-wheel via a six-speed gearbox. In the international market, the Kawasaki Z250 features ABS and slipper clutch and whether the above features will be carried forward in the new bike in the Indian market remains questionable.
