KTM enthusiasts mark your calendar as the Austrian bikemaker has announced that it will unveil the next-generation Duke range on November 8th. The 2017 KTM 390 Duke along with its other siblings will be officially unveiled at the 2016 EICMA Motorcycle Show in Milan, Italy. It is also rumoured that KTM might also ride in the new parallel-twin powered 790 Duke at the show along with an adventure variant based on the same. The bike that will interest the Indian motorcycle enthusiasts most is the 2017 KTM 390 Duke. The bike has been spotted testing on many occasion on our roads and the 390 Duke is among the most popular performance motorcycles on sale in India.

The 390 Duke has been completely redesigned and with a new LED headlight unit with a slit to separate the multibeam headlamp. The fuel tank also has been redesigned while the tank extensions are longer and overlap the USD forks. The frame of the bike has also been altered while the rear section is smaller in comparison to the existing model with integrated taillight unit. Also, instead of the underbelly exhaust, the 2017 KTM 390 Duke will feature a conventional exhaust muffler to comply with the new Euro 4 norms. The instrument console is also new and is expected to be a TFT unit and the bike will also feature ride modes.

Power and torque figures will remain unchanged at 43.5PS and 35Nm but we expect the new motor to be more refined than its predecessor. The USD front forks, mono-shock suspension, braking hardware, ABS, slipper clutch and Metzeler tyres will be carried forward from the older model. We can expect the 2017 KTM 390 Duke to be launched in India by early-2017 and expect the price to rise by around Rs 10,000 and 15,000 over the current 390 Duke. We can also expect the 2017 KTM 200 Duke and the KTM 125 Duke to be unveiled at 2016 EICMA motorcycle show.
