2017 Valley Run To Be Held On March 10 to 12

The Valley Run is a yearly drag race competition held in the scenic landscape of Aamby Valley City, near Lonavala. The fifth season will be conducted from March 10 to 12this year. It is the most popular drag racing competition in the country and the venue is hosted on an airstrip, unlike on a racetrack. The event witnesses a multitude of of performance cars and bikes that gather to participate in a quarter-mile drag race. The vehicles that show up at the Valley Run are of various shapes and sizes, sport different paint jobs and extreme modifications, and belong to different categories. 

Elite Octane Racing is the host of Valley Run and they also conducted the India Speed Week in December 2016 in Kolkata. Valley Run 2016 claims to have set a benchmark in terms of safety, facilities, presence, participation and scale, and Elite Octane Racing are aiming to bring unique and exciting elements in the current Valley Run. Ricky Gadson, the 11-time drag race champion, also had done demo runs in previous events and a Y2K bike was also showcased. Performance cars like the Nissan GT-R, Mitsubishi Evolution X, Mercedes-Benz AMGs, Audi R8 along with the RS, BMW Ms, Lamborghinis, Porsches and Ferraris were an eye candy for any automotive enthusiast.  

Small cars like the Maruti Suzuki Zen, Honda Brio and Maruti Suzuki Esteem were also seen participating in the drag race. The drag races are conducted in different categories depending on the type of vehicles.
