Ford is all set to launch the new EcoSport facelift on November 6. Bookings for the same have now commenced for a token amount of Rs 21,000 to Rs 51,000, depending on the location. If going to the dealership is too big a task for you, Ford has got you covered. The company has confirmed that customers can also book the EcoSport exclusively at Amazon.in. The same will start from November 5 for an amount of Rs 10,000 and those who book online will be the first customers to get their hands on the new car. But there is a catch, online bookings will be open only for 24 hours and only the first 123 customers will get their cars on priority.
The new EcoSport will be offered in five different variants, namely Ambiente, Trend, Trend+, Titanium and Titanium+. Ambiente is the base variant while Titanium+ is the top-spec variant.
Like before, Ford has packed the new EcoSport with lots of features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers, LED DRLs and a rear parking camera. Other features on offer include push-button start with smart key and capacitive sensors on front door handles, electric swing gate release and multi-colour ambient lighting. Even in the safety department, the EcoSport makes its mark with dual airbags, ABS, EBD, engine immobiliser, crash unlocking system and front seatbelts with pretensioner and load limiters as standard across variants. Additionally, the higher variants get six airbags, cruise control, fog lamps and ISOFIX over the standard equipment.
The new EcoSport will be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 123PS/150Nm and 100PS/205Nm respectively. The petrol engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission, depending on the variant. The diesel engine, on the other hand, will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox only.
When launched, the new EcoSport will go up against compact SUVs like the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon and the Honda WR-V.
