Honda is all set to lend some freshness to the Jazz. The reason we are saying freshness and not a facelift is because we might not be getting it. While there is a facelift available internationally, Honda seems to be just tweaking the lights and adding a few new features in India. Nevertheless, this is good news for buyers looking to buy the Honda Jazz, which is facing tough competition from the Maruti Baleno and the recently facelifted Hyundai Elite i20.
The added features include a front centre armrest, a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, new extended tail lights, keyless entry with push-button start/stop and rear parking sensors. The Jazz will also be available in two new paint options: red and silver. There will also be a new, top of the line VX variant for the Petrol-CVT.
The Jazz will still be powered by the 1.5-litre set of engines with the petrol and diesel making 90PS and 100PS of power, respectively. The petrol is mated to a 5-speed manual and gets the option for an automatic transmission as well. The diesel is only available with a 6-speed manual transmission.
Prices are expected to largely remain the same, with a small hike of Rs 10,000-15000 for the top of the line variant.
