Italian motorcycle fans, rejoice, as the limited RC version of the MV Agusta F4 is finally out.The new bike comes with new colours and graphics to match the brand's racing team motorcycle and it delivers a different look from its predecessors. Notably, the number "37" is printed on the fairings to remind us of the number of manufacturer titles won by the team.
Other than that, the bike is almost identical to its predecessor visually. It runs on a four-cylinder Corsa Corta engine that comes with a central distribution chain and radial valves. This version can deliver up to 208PS; however, you can get an additional 7PS with a kit that includes a race-spec ECU and a titanium exhaust system, carbon fibre heat shields and some other lightweight parts.
The MV Agusta F4 RC comes with a few regulatory electronic functions like throttle sensitivity, max torque, engine braking, and rev limiter that can be customised as per the rider’s preferences. The standard kit also comes with three gyroscopes, three accelerometers and a lean angle sensor.
The front suspension is a NIX 30-type USD Ohlins fork with TiN coating which provides separate hydraulic compression adjustment with rebound and some preload adjustment. The rear relies on an Ohlins TTX 36 fully adjustable monoshock with a piggyback tank. The bike employs a specifically developed CrMo steel tube trellis frame. For braking, you have dual 320mm discs at the front and a 210mm disc at the back, both gripped by 4-piston Brembo monobloc calipers. Bosch 9 Plus Race Mode ABS comes standard.
No official number is yet out on how many bikes will be out for sale but MV promises that each one of them will be made with the same care that went into building Leon Camier's F4 Reparto Corsa. If you opt for the kit, you will also get a customised bike cover and a certificate of origin to confirm the authenticity and number of the product.
