2019 Ford Figo Facelift Launched At Rs 5.15 Lakh

• Available in three variants - Ambiente, Titanium and Titanium Blu.
• Three engine options on offer: 1.5-litre diesel, 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre petrol.
• Gets a new touchscreen with more convenience features.

Ford has launched the Figo facelift in the country. Prices for the hatchback start from Rs 5.15 lakh for the base Ambiente petrol and go up to Rs 8.09 lakh for the Titanium Petrol AT. The Figo borrows the looks from the Aspire, which was based on the Ka (internationally the Figo) facelift and made its debut early last year. In terms of features, the Figo finally gets a much-needed update to stay competitive in the segment against the likes of the Maruti Swift and the Hyundai Grand i10. The biggest change, however, is the inclusion of two new petrol engines - one borrowed from the Aspire and other from the EcoSport. But first, have a look at the pricing.

1.2-Litre Petrol MT

• Ambiente - Rs 5.15 lakh
• Titanium - Rs 6.39 lakh
• Titanium Blu - Rs 6.94 lakh

1.5-Litre Petrol AT

• Titanium - Rs 8.09 lakh

1.5-litre Diesel MT

• Ambiente - Rs 5.95 lakh
• Titanium - Rs 7.19 lakh
• Titanium Blu - Rs 7.74 lakh

From the above list, you now know that that new 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder engine and the 1.5-litre diesel is available with all the three variants and come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder engine is only available with the Titanium variant and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. Have a look at the specs below.

In terms of looks, the Figo gets new front and rear bumpers along with new alloy wheels. The blacked out grille along with the black 15-inch wheels and dual tone roof is only available in the Titanium Blu variant. The Titanium trim gets the chrome treatment along with 14-inch alloy wheels while the base variant gets steel wheels of the same size. The Blu also gets side and rear decals for a more sporty look.

In terms of features, the Figo now packs a 7-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, This isn't the same system as the Ford Aspire and even misses out on Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features include height-adjustable driver seat, reverse parking camera, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, push button start/stop, automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, auto headlamps and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with mounted controls. Have a look at the variant-wise feature distribution here.

Ford has always focused on safety and hence the Figo also comes with 6 airbags in the top variant, and ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, seatbelt reminder, speed-sensing auto door lock and dual airbags as standard.
