Ford India has announced its lineup of compact cars for 2020. The Aspire sedan, as well as Freestyle and Figo hatchbacks, have been updated to comply with BS6 emission norms. The carmaker had updated the EcoSport to BS6 last month. Once the BS6 Endeavour is launched by the end of February, Ford’s entire lineup (barring the Mustang) would be BS6-compliant.

The Figo, Aspire, and Freestyle have two engines on offer: a 1.2-litre Ti-VCT petrol and a 1.5-litre TDCi diesel. The former makes 96PS of power and 119Nm of torque, while the latter is more powerful at 100PS and 215Nm. On the top-spec cars, you get automatic headlamps and wipers, a touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, and six airbags. Ford has also added a new ‘Trend’ variant to the range. All variants of the three cars will come with Ford Pass remote monitoring features and a standard 3-year/1 lakh km warranty. Here’s every model and variant listed by price:

Of the three models, the Figo is the only one to get an overall price hike. While the base Ambiente model is dearer by Rs 16,000, Titanium and Titanium Blu models cost Rs 36,000 and Rs 31,000 more, respectively. Diesel variants get the same increment as the petrol trims. Now, the Figo retails between Rs 5.39 lakh and Rs 7.85 lakh (ex-showroom).

Ford’s attempt at a cross-hatch or a raised hatch, the Freestyle gets a welcome drop in prices ranging from Rs 2,000 to Rs 37,000. The price cut varies across the variants except for the petrol Titanium and Titanium+, which get a uniform drop of Rs 27,000.

Surprisingly, the Aspire sedan has become more affordable in its BS6 avatar with a price cut of up to Rs 38,000! The base petrol Ambiente variant is priced the same, while all other variants see a cut between Rs 4,000 and Rs 38,000. Well done, Ford!
