The facelifted Verna follows Hyundai’s Sensuous Sportiness design language and looks similar to the Russia-spec Solaris. Hyundai’s latest iteration of the cascading grille takes centre stage while the LED headlamps have been reworked and get reprofiled LED DRLs as well. Other notable changes include the new dual-tone alloy wheels that look a tad sharper than before. Moving on to the rear, the facelifted Verna comes with sharper LED tail lamps and a new bumper with chrome inserts.
Hyundai will offer the Verna in six colours: black, white, silver, red, grey and dark blue.
Hyundai is yet to reveal the interiors of the Verna. We expect it to come with a slightly larger infotainment system and a redesigned centre console. It’ll be offered with an updated instrument console with a full-colour multi-info display as well as BlueLink connected car technology.
The BS4 Verna gets notable features such as ventilated front seats, a sunroof, wireless phone charger, and an Arkamys sound system. So expect them to be carried over to the BS6 model. In terms of safety, the facelifted Verna will come equipped with up to 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and a rearview camera.
The facelifted Hyundai Verna is expected to be launched before BS6 norms come into place on April 1. Considering the upgrades, expect the facelifted Verna to command a premium over the current model which starts from Rs 8.18 lakh (ex-showroom). It will lock horns with the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Volkswagen Vento, Toyota Yaris, 2020 Honda City, and the Skoda Rapid.
