Toyota India has announced that the BS6-compliant Camry will be priced from Rs 37.88 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Camry has become Rs 38,000 dearer than its BS4 predecessor (Rs 37.50 lakh, ex-showroom India) thanks to BS6 updates and a standard price hike for the new calendar year.
The Toyota Camry continues to utilise the existing 2.5-litre hybrid powertrain with upgrades to meet BS6 emission standards. The Camry’s powertrain consists of a petrol engine coupled to an electric motor. It’s petrol engine develops 178PS and 221Nm while the electric motor puts out 120PS and 202Nm. Combined output stands at 218PS. The Toyota Camry is offered with a CVT only. It’s capable of driving in pure EV mode, pure ICE mode or a combination of both.
In terms of features, the BS6 Camry comes with a touchscreen infotainment system, a JBL sound system, powered front seats with ventilation, a head-up display, cruise control, power adjustable steering column, rear sunblind and a sunroof. On the safety front, it comes with nine airbags, ABS with EBD, parking sensors, a rear view camera, electronic stability control and an electric parking brake function.

The BS6-compliant Camry is offered in seven colour options: white, silver, red, brown, graphite and two shades of black.
